While I was student teaching, both teachers had these stools in their classroom and I saw students change before my eyes. Before the stools, my kids were tipping back in their chairs, talking to neighbors, tapping/clicking pens and pencils, and making other sounds because they had so much energy.
We had one student in particular sit on the stool for a week and it changed his behavior and work ethic in the classroom. He had ADHD and constantly needed to be doing something. In the stool, he was able to work while rolling around and getting the movement that he needed. He quit talking out of turn, started turning in work, and was on his best behavior. I truly believe extra movement for students while sitting does help and I would love to have a few of these wobble stools in my classroom!
