Students participate in engaging hands on learning centers for over an hour each day. These centers cover subjects such as Early Literacy Skills, STEM, Mathematics, Art Studio, Discovery and Exploration with sand and water. Each center is a play based area for students to deepen their understanding of the curriculum and be supported by teachers as they learn and ask questions to gain new understanding. Students also learn to work in groups and share materials. We work on community and helping on another. Students present their work to classmates each day during a thinking and feedback process. This allows students to compliment each other, gain ideas for their own work, and give suggestions to peers. All of this cannot be accomplished without the much needed supplies to stock each center.
