Flexible seating allows my students to make decisions about their learning. Students are able to choose a work location that works best for them. When students are given choices their engagement in that activity goes up.
Students are less disruptive when they are given a choice of where to work around the room. The stools with padded seats will allow students to sit at my reading table comfortably during guided reading. The wobble cushions and balance ball chairs will give students options throughout the day when they need to get their wiggles out.
I have seen how choice in learning can have a positive affect on students. Giving students choice with flexible seating will only increase engagement!
