As a first year teacher, I am currently striving to build a classroom library for my students. The books I have chosen will help teach important social and emotional skills, as well as aid in building their foundational literacy skills. I selected these books because they will captivate my young readers and foster a love for reading! All of the books I have chosen are perfect for independent reading, buddy reading, or whole class reading. I hope to give my first graders the best resources to help build and strengthen their literacy and guide them towards a successful educational career.
