I teach 6th Grade Core at Orinda Intermediate School (OIS).I am a big believer in project based learning as well as getting students outside whenever possible. Right outside my classroom is a large vegetable garden, and just a short distance away is a nature garden where students sit during lunch and brunch. The vegetable garden is used for our garden club and by our full inclusion students for outside project based activities. This garden is in need of soil amendments to get us started on our Fall/Winter planting. Our nature garden is a bigger project. It is in need of a lot of weeding and some landscape materials. In addition, there are some fence sections that need mending
