My students are "out of the box" thinkers that love engaging activities with flexible seating. They need more seating choices that allow them to be independent when needed or areas to work collaboratively with fellow classmates.
After the devastation and destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey, most of the flexible seating was unusable and had to be discarded. Students need to have areas in the classroom where they can choose to work and be successful. Some students prefer to work at their desks while others are more successful sitting on the floor or in other seating options around the classroom.
The rugs will add flexible and comfortable seating options while providing accessibility to academic collaboration. The rugs will help define specific content learning areas while allowing students to choose where they work and be most successful.
