How fast do cheetahs run? Go find out! Why do volcanoes erupt? Figure it out! Why do dogs pant? Go explore! Second graders are full of questions, and the amount of creativity, questioning, and exploration can be limitless with classroom Chromebooks.
By donating to our project, you will not only foster creativity and academic success, but you will also help bridge the technology gap.
The Chromebooks will be used primarily during our Language Arts Daily 5 rotations. During this time, the students are learning to build their stamina and work independently in meaningful stations while I work with students in small Guided Reading groups. One of our Daily 5 rotations is Work on Technology (Listen to Reading). Unfortunately, my students do not have daily access to Chromebooks and cannot participate in great programs such as Lexia and Razz-Kids for reading. Many of my students do not have access to technology at home. I would like to provide my students with all the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. Learning about computers and how to use them is an important skill in 2nd grade and beyond. Please help break down barriers and support my students in getting the resources they need for future success.
