By using the Wordly Wise Vocabulary program, my students will be receiving direct academic vocabulary instruction. This will help them to expand their own knowledge and use of grade level vocabulary, as well as improve reading comprehension of classroom materials, independent choice reading books, and of course the ever looming standardized tests. I have seen it greatly boost my students' writing and I love the excitement students show when they find a Wordly Wise word in their independent choice book or class text! This program constantly cycles through old words, as it introduces new words, integrating the vocabulary into high-interest​ passages.
