Our school has been given 1-to-1 student Chromebooks for use in the classroom. Having the opportunity to use technology in the classroom is exciting for students who have little exposure to technology. In our weekly 30-minute computer lab session they enjoy our school online reading program, typing, math activities, and our brand new coding program. In order to have students use the Chromebooks in the classroom, each student needs a set of headphones.
Headphones for each child will allow the students to work independently with technology in the classroom. Engagement with technology in the classroom will support students during small group time, whole class time, and independently. They will be able to complete group coding projects as well as independently practice reading and math activities. Engaging in computer-based activities will help to promote student excitement for school and build foundational skills that will support them as they progress in school.
