My students are learning how to make 3D model items and materials on CAD software. In order to make what they've created be tangible, our students need a 3D printer to physically make their inventions and engineered parts and bring them to life. With Autodesk Inventor software, their parts and assemblies will be realized with a 3D printer. It is possible that if they develop instruments with originality and prototype them, they could even patent them.
I'm proposing to some of my students who are driven to see if they're interested in learning both the CAD software and the slicing software that are included with this 3D printer.
As I build these courses with deeper and more technical knowledge, I always want to bring these sometimes abstract ideas to life with 3D printed manipulatives.
