Flexible seating is growing in the classroom and I am excited to be apart of it. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I am just starting out with flexible seating and already have stools at my group table, 2 wobble stools, and 2 chair cushions. I also have 6 scoop rocker chairs which I would love to have the lap desks to incorporate with these.
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them.
The flexible seating options that I've requested will benefit children that are unable to sit still or need to constantly be moving. The seat options also allow children to focus on their work, not on being uncomfortable and still.
With flexible seating, the children will be able to work in teams to accomplish goals they may or may not have been able to achieve on their own.
