Having Kindle Fires in our classroom would give my students the chance to more easily connect to the world of online learning resources. Right now, we lack adequate technology to use the online resources we need to succeed. With access to Kindle Unlimited books, my students will have an entire colored library at their finger tips every single day. My students will be able to select any book that they like- whether that is fantasy, fiction, humor, historical fiction, or non-fiction.
They will have access to books that are in English as well as Spanish and see characters that are similar to them.
Kindle Fires would also give us access to more technology in the classroom. We would be able to access educational apps such as See Saw where students can post their work to receive recognition from their peers and parents. We could conduct research projects on topics relevant to our community such as detention camps and refugees. We could use our Kindle Fire for creating polygons, angles, and lines using a GeoBoard. We can practice our multiplication facts to master them. We can access a whole world of resources with our Kindle Fires.
