Flexible seating gives students an opportunity to have a choice in how they learn. Students all learn better when they’re given diverse options, even a simple option of where to sit. The days of cold, hard chairs are over. Students will have a greater focus on their work which will result in deeper meaning if they are given a choice of where to sit. Also, flexible seating creates a more inviting classroom environment, and it creates comfort for the students. All children want to be able to make decisions and feel in control. This type of seating gives them exactly that. They are able to sit wherever they choose, and it’s proven that flexible seating increases students’ efforts and grades.
