Many of these items will provide my students with the basic school essentials needed in the classroom. I would prefer to have these items on hand before school starts, so as not to present a hardship to any families who cannot provide them themselves. My students and their families are superheroes when it comes with all the challenges they face and continually overcome. While equipping each of these students with these basic tools, we are giving them a platform for success.
What does it mean to learn it THEIR way? Each student in my classroom is unique. These students may need modifications and adaptations in their environment to help them learn. Items such as pencil grippers and adapted materials are listed to meet the needs of these individuals. Each student in my classroom is different and has varying needs that come with that. No two students are alike. The spectrum in my classroom covers moderate to severe special needs. Materials such as pencil grippers and alternative seating opportunities enable these children to take charge of their learning. They become leaders of their own educational experiences and play a key role in implementing strategies for their academic success.
While this is my first year at this school, it is my hope that my first year as an EC K-4 Teacher is successful. Thank you in advance for your contributions and your prayers!
