Keeping up with the latest advancements in education is hard to do when both students and teachers don't have the access to the resources. Bringing tablets into the classroom would allow whole group lessons in ELA, mathematics, social studies, and science to reinforce independent learning. Do all child learn the same way? No, it's my job to understand each of my students and the best way they learn then be able to differentiate instructions. The use of a tablet is one resource that can be engaging and meet students learning needs.
Involving students in there learning WILL increase academic achievement!!
Here are some ways I have found technology to benefit my students.
First, it allows struggling readers to have the option to listen to books. It also, helps them to step out of their box and show a creative side. Tablets give the option of talk to text for the students that struggle with the written language. I've used tablets for reinforcing all types of lessons in all subject areas and I have found it to be beneficial for my students.
It gives them choices to show their learning in a way that's best for them. The best reason of all, is it helps make learning FUN! Putting a smile on my students is an everyday reward.
