I want to implement flexible seating within my classroom. This will give my students the opportunity to move while being productive in the classroom setting.
In a world that expects 6 and 7-year-olds to act like grown adults for 7 hours a day, I want them to be able to move throughout the day without the fear of getting in trouble. The opportunity to trade out traditional seats for things such as exercise balls, tractor seats, wobble cushions, bar stools, and wobble chairs will give the students not only ownership of their day but also motivation to have this privilege.
