My students are checking in on me, asking me how I am doing while I'm assigning them their reading work to do at home. I never thought I had to answer that question many times throughout the week from a computer screen. Truth is, I'm worried about them in more ways than one. For their reading work being assigned to me being so unfortunately unimaginative, it is going to be difficult to increase their reading and writing abilities if we don't start being creative!
These materials will help my students increase their reading comprehension and fluency at home. By offering many diverse and fun activities, such as the writing prompts, my students will develop a new excitement for remote learning. Once I see them light up again about their reading and writing work, then I can truthfully reply back to them "I'm doing great!"
