21st-century learning is best taught in an environment where students can work together with ease. As we develop children's problem-solving skills and encourage collaborative problem solving, a classroom environment must meet the needs of group work. Circular tables lend themselves to a more interactive, team approach. They also require less space than desks or long rectangular tables opening up more free space for groups to work together. As educators, we must also consider skills that future employers are looking for. Teaching students to collaborate, work as a team, and work with people from diverse backgrounds will be an asset to both students and future employers.
