My students love painting days--when they see me wearing my smock, their eyes light up and I hear kids shouting out, "It's painting day!" Kindergarten through 5th grade enjoys the "special-ness" of painting days and getting to learn how to use paints to create their masterpieces. However, I don't currently have students in my room for painting days, and I know many of my students won't have access to paints at home.
With these watercolor sets, I will ensure all my students will be able to complete some painting projects during their distance learning. These watercolor sets are easy to use (they only require water to work), less messy than other paints (they are self-contained in their boxes), and will allow students to still get the experience of using paint. Be that via painting galaxies, being inspired by VanGogh's sunflowers or Monet's waterlilies, or painting calavera in connection with Day of the Dead, students will get to still have their painting days!
