I am starting my first year of elementary school counseling in a public school that's never had a school counselor! I'm starting from scratch. The students, teachers and community with whom I will work need emotional, mental, sensory, physical and social guidance and support. The locking file drawer will keep my counseling files private and confidential, the color printer will provide means by which I can share fun, educational, and critical advice and programs with students, teachers, parents and the community, the mindfulness and sensory games will be helpful in helping my students develop personal and social skills. I'm excited to do yoga, recess games, classroom lessons, group lessons and individual counseling! Helping the students become mindful, resilient, team players and goal oriented will help them in their educational career and be a positive contributor to society.
