These material will make a difference in my students' learning because they will have the opportunity to write in the texts. They will also be allowed to take the texts home. These novels with belong to them. I know that sounds simple, but it's not. Having something that belong to them is monumental. My students have no idea what it's like to have a book that belong to them... that they do not have to turn in at the end of the school year. By taking notes in these books my students will be better prepared for Socratic Seminars which is a key factor in AP Literature. My students will also be able to spend more time with the texts completing close readings because they will be allowed to take the works home. I' am super excited to see the huge advances my students will make now that they have texts that are their own.
