This project is focused on giving my students the opportunity to experience flexible seating. Flexible seating allows students to learn outside of the traditional model. The items I have chosen will give students a variety of seating choices within my classroom. Flexible seating will help amplify student achievement.
While research is limited, the current results show positive results in student achievement and student motivation. When student teaching, I had first hand experience teaching a 4/5th grade combination class that was structured with flexible seating. This experience was like no other. Students had the opportunity to learn in an area that was most conducive to their achievement. Regardless of age, these items will last years to come! I'm ready to take the plunge into flexible seating!
