These drawers will help my students feel like they have their own personal place in my classroom. I want my students to have a special spot for their items so that they learn about accountability. This not only keeps materials organized, but it teaches them to become responsible for their things. My little first graders are in a time in their life where their learning important habits they'll take out into the real world when they're older.
The classroom is the golden place to teach students how to be responsible, respectful, caring, and collaborating citizens. This is why when I set set up my classroom I like to have materials organized in a way where they will practice these skills!
