Our special kiddos will use these items to shape their precious minds. Our class will be inviting and loving for all! I taught at a private preschool before this; therefore I am starting my classroom from scratch. I hope to be able to supply my students with the supplies, organization, and tools they need to succeed.
As a kindergarten teacher, the focus of our class is on interaction and active engagement in our manipulatives. We will use the counting bears during our math time to count out our numbers and make groups for addition and subtraction. Each child will get to play and interact with the bears before diving into explicit learning objectives unbeknownst to them. I prefer to use carpet sit spots to let the students have a more fluid carpet spot during different learning times. My favorite activity is letting the students use various smelly markers when creating our anchor charts for each lesson. They love to feel involved as an active participant in their learning. I have hand selected each item in my cart to help my students build knowledge and skills.
I will use each resource and tool to create an engaging learning environment. We will have dry erase boards out during all lessons for hands on learning, we will pair-share to get the kids active in their own learning! Thank you so much for your consideration!
