The writing block in my class is a special time. We gather on the carpet for whole group writing experiences than can be done on the large chart paper or on the easel. Students will get a chance to see and add to the stories.
These materials will allow students to express themselves in writing during every phase of the writing process. They can use the drawing paper to draw and express their ideas in the very early stages of their writing. Whole group writing that is done on the large chart paper can be posted in the classroom. The folders will hold their writing assignments.
