Student engagement is very important to help students meet success. Today, students get bored easily, and it is hard to find ways to keep them interested and focused on learning. I chose these specific tools to help engage my students in their learning.
I work closely with my grade level partner, and not only will my class benefit from the items I requested, but her class will be able to use them too.
Breakout EDU is a program that uses immersive learning games to encourage students to use 21st-century skills to work together and problem solve. It is like an escape room for students. Because it is a challenge, students become extremely engaged.
I am requesting an iPad with a protective case and plan to help incorporate more technology to our units of study. The students will be able to use it to create engaging projects. There are so many apps out there that can help students create many great digital projects. Students can use the iPad to take pictures and create videos, and use those apps to develop extension projects based on what we are learning. My students have access to Chromebooks, but there are some tech tools and apps that I would like to use that we can not access with the Chromebooks.
A new classroom rug is on my list as well because the one I have is over seven years old and very worn out. We will be using the rug daily to meet for circle and collaboration projects.
