In order to aid students with meeting the curriculum standards, they have been utilizing the Chromebooks to aid them in many areas of their school work including to conduct research; to do all of their written work with Chromebooks enabling them to better brainstorm ideas and begin their work; to take notes; and to play educational games such as Kahoot with their peers as a way of reviewing (some students do not have any electronic devices of their own). In addition, handwriting is often difficult for students, and typing helps them to complete work more quickly. We currently have 9 Chromebooks, but as students have become more successful with their learning, more are needing these on a daily basis, as each year we then have a group of students who move up to the middle school who then need Chromebooks. This has increased the demand and therefore the number that we need each day. We also need a Chromebook charging station to enable students to become more independent with charging the devices each night and ensuring they are ready for the next day.
