The Market Revolution changed how Americans acquired the things they needed and wanted. Before this changed we made things by hand which is almost a lost art. After this changed the products we wanted were made in factories.
I want my students to experience the time and skill that it took to make the items by hand so they may appreciate how easy it is for us to go to the store and have it ready made! They will be able to create a product by hand with the weaving loom. Something they may have never done before with our instant gratification society.
