Many of my students struggle with day to day necessities, so purchasing a book is not always easy. By supporting this project, you are supporting my students who strive to be better citizens through their learning.
My students will read about poignant topics and issues in our society using Just Mercy as a springboard for discussions and writings.
We know students' reading comprehension improves when they are able to interact with a book; this project will allow each student to highlight and take notes in their book thus improving their literacy skills. This book has been adapted for young adult readers and will serve my students well as a foundational text during 1st semester.
