This will be my first year teaching and I couldn't be more excited. I've learned a lot during my student teaching year at Dallas. But what most stuck out for me, especially with the younger grades, is how flexible seating engages the students more and gives them the freedom to be comfortable while learning. My mentor teachers used flexible seating not only as an aesthetic for their decor but as something students looked forward to. I want to have that available to my students as well, especially because the district I'll be teaching in is low income. It would be a real treat for them!
