The boomwhackers will be used frequently with my fifth and sixth grade general music students.
After talking with the students at the beginning of the year, they are most excited to play instruments. Boomwhackers provide students the opportunity to make music together and accompany themselves while singing in the music classroom.
With boomwhackers, students can explore a variety of genres of music by creating ostinato patterns, performing melodies, and collaborating with their peers. The boomwhackers will also help enhance students' rhythmic integrity through kinesthetic learning.
By implementing Boomwhackers into my music curriculum, my students will be able to collaborate with one another, experience music from all genres, increase their note-reading, and most importantly...play instruments!
