The materials that I'm requesting will help my students become more comfortable with reading. I chose books that my students will find interesting. I provide my students with pencils, but I've noticed that the erasers are the first to go! I need erasers so that my students have no excuses! When I ask, "tell me about a book that you read this weekend", I shouldn't hear, "I don't have a book". Everyone will be given everything that they need to be successful. No matter how big or how small. My classroom will be based on equity. My goal is for all of my students to be successful.
