My students need new classroom furniture to support their ability to navigate the classroom and engage in the learning process. The students will benefit from furniture that will allow them to write on it which is why all the requested furniture is markerboard compatible. This allows students to write on the tables and desks to communicate their needs, solve math problems, and so much more.
Students deserve a classroom designed for their unique needs. My students need explicit instruction to navigate social situations. A horseshoe table, kidney table and flower table will allow them to work in groups to help them learn how to communicate and work with others. Each table allows the students to use dry erase markers on the surface. The flower table will also allow students to work while sitting on the floor which supports their ability to choose how they work/learn best. The classroom select desks will allow students a space to work standing up at any time they desire. When not in use, they will store against the wall.
