The first grade teachers want to use the balls, jump ropes and hula hoops to teach the kids sports and to keep everyone active during playtime. Sports are great for learning how to get along with others. Exercise creates a chemical in their brain that helps them learn.
There are few things more joyful than watching kids play a game with joy in their heart.
We plan to split the kids into three groups. Two teachers will teach a sport like soccer and/or kickball. The third teacher, with the addition of hula hoops and jump ropes will help the kids on the playground focus on playing and getting along.
