Students have been working at home to learn and create code online. When they return to the building, I want them to be exposed to hands-on creations that they can make come to life. It's important for them to see how coding is limitless. Students will use the Lego WeDo kits to create robots by hand, then in turn will be able to use the coding skills taught in class to make their robot creation move and dance. Students will get opportunities to show off their skills to their peers and share their ideas and code with the class. Coding from an early age teaches students to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, team players, and gives them the skills to adapt to today's technological world through a structured environment. Our fourth and fifth graders will get a chance to really see their skills come to life with these tools. So many children will have the opportunity to learn and extend their skills with Lego WeDo 2.0.
