My students will use the pencils and erasers from the minute they walk into my class to start their morning work to their end of the day learning reflections. The dry erase markers and erasers will be used to practice math problems and multiplication facts. This will be something different to try in math rotations.
The sticky notes will be used to help students stop while they are reading and think about what they read, what they learned from it, and how it made them feel. They will also be used to mark significant pages in their books and in our read aloud.
Finally, the pens will be used to correct their work because learning begins where mistakes happen.
