As a first-year teacher, I am amazed at how little comes with a classroom! I am in dire need of totes and storage containers to help make a place for everything and everything in its place! An organized classroom is an effective learning space! Hands-on learning is essential for life-long learning! Imagine the delight of learning about life cycles with real bugs, not virtual presentations, but the real thing! No child will ever forget the miracle of metamorphosis when it happens right in front of their eyes! What child doesn't enjoy a wonderful story?! We need engaging books in our room! What child doesn't enjoy presenting their learning on a white board, complete with markers and erasers?! What teacher wouldn't appreciate these enhancements to learning?!
