The listening center would be a great asset to our classroom because it will help my students become more independent. I read to them every day, along with them having independent reading time, and guided reading time with me, this would give them that extra exposure to higher level books while minimizing frustration! They love reading, but often become frustrated because they don't want to read "baby books", but cannot read books that are geared towards their age. This would help relieve some of that frustration and help my students learn to love reading. We would use this daily in our literacy centers. My students would love this and we would rely appreciate it in our classroom!
