This year I am wanting to implement hosting tea parties with my students. Hosting a tea party gives children a brilliant way to put into practice the important lessons of grace and courtesy. It also gives children a real and authentic opportunity to learn and share a variety of practical life skills, including food preparation, pouring, spooning, serving, flower arranging, and table setting. In addition, it will encouraging writing skills as the children create the menus, invitations and signs! Each student would be invited to one tea party each year. This project would be able to be used by 22 students each year from here on out! These skills taught will be used throughout their life!
