Everyday, students view and visit the counselor's office as a place of solace. Hence, as the school counselor for approximately five hundred students, the goal is to always provide an environment that is pleasant, calm and cheerful. When students are in distress and/or in need of a place for de-escalation, the counselor's office has to be conducive to supporting the emotional needs of students. Thus, comfortable seating, age appropriate decorative rugs, books about emotions and character development and games have proven to be impactful. In such an environment, students are more inclined to relax, feel comfortable, disclose feelings and regroup. Therefore, the support of Donors Choose in the acquisition of these items will be immensely appreciated. Together, we can help improve the quality of life for students. Thank you in advance!
