My Transitional Kindergarteners will be doing the majority of their reading, writing, listening, and fine motor skill development on an iPad from their homes to begin the year.
A stylus will serve as a digital pencil that will simulate the traditional writing experience, as it is critical that they learn to use a writing instrument rather than their finger to practice.
During this important developmental time, the students will be taught to express their thoughts and ideas in drawings, symbols, and eventually letters.
Headphones will play an instrumental part in not only aiding in the students ability to hear me pronounce sounds clearly, but they will also assist in eliminating distractions within their home environments. The microphones in the headphones will help me to hear them clearly as well.
