My school provides free K-8 after-school care in the Metro Denver area. During this time, I'd like to provide the middle school students with an opportunity to learn computer programming by using Sphero bluetooth robots. These spherical, shockproof and waterproof robots can be programmed using three different methods: drawing a path, block coding, and javascript. My school prides itself on differentiated and personalized learning, and I feel that these Spheros will continue to engage our students with multiple approaches to programming after the school day has ended.
By donating to our project, you will provide students with an engaging after-school activity that teaches them computer coding. As our community becomes more technologically centered, you will be providing the tools needed to prepare middle school students for the 2030 workplace.
