Math games and whiteboards are used daily to allow students to become masters in math fluency, creating an environment where students are confident in their abilities and willing to take risks when math becomes challenging for them.
In my classroom, we use these games and/or whiteboards every day to warm up our brains for the hard work ahead. Kids love the interactive component of these games and playing games on their whiteboards, as well as practicing new skills. Right now we have chalkboards in the front of our class. The students are able to see better on large whiteboards with bold markers and love the clean aspect of being able to come to the front and show off their work without using chalk.
