Chromebooks open a world of possibilities for our students. We are on a quest to fund one to one Chromebooks for all our 6th graders at our school. We currently have enough Chromebooks to use them for an hour a day, however, one to one devices will give our students more opportunities for deep learning including the 6 C's of education: collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, communication, citizenship, and character.
We use Chromebooks for innovative project-based learning to engage students and give them more ownership of their learning. Technology provides the opportunity for more choice as we meet our learning goals.
Technology creates a higher motivation to learn and increases engagement. We will use, among other things, Google apps, Nearpod, Deck.Toys, ReadWorks, Quizlet, MasteryConnect, Kahoot, Flipgrid, Loom, Quizizz.
