More and more research shows that students need easy access to books in their classroom. My goal is to have quality literature in my classroom for my 6th grader readers to read. Many students can be reluctant readers, which is why it is so important to have new, high-interest books for students of all reading levels.
Having a strong classroom library is extremely important. Part of helping students become life long readers, is giving them time to read books that interest them. I'm always trying to keep books in my room that are new, not the same ones they have already read. Once you hook students into a book they love, the opportunities for them to learn, are endless.
About my class
