Since most of our student-athletes are visual learners, I would like to have an iPad to record plays during practice and organize them into various albums. Then, during games, I can use the iPad to show them how to run a specific play during a timeout. It is important to have an iPad that's big enough so that all players on the team are able to see the play clearly in the huddle. The girls are able to see a video of themselves running that play to activate their visual memory so that they are able to execute that specific play during the game.
An iPad for our team will go a long way in helping the team be successful. In addition to allowing student athletes to visualize various game scenario in a live setting, we can also use the iPad to film our games. By being able to film our games, the girls will be able to watch successes' and areas in which they can improve both individually and as a team. The film will be uploaded online so that them and their families can watch their games anyplace, anytime. One area in which the film can often be used is during practices. This film can be helpful by playing snippets to the team and by guiding them through reflection.
