My students love getting out of their hard plastic chairs and sitting on the carpet. They read on the carpet, work in pairs, sit in front of the white board during lessons, etc. However, my classroom is small and large bulky storage units will give my students no room to sit on the carpet without being squished. Having the two bookshelves will allow me to have my classroom library out and easily accessible to my students. These quaint bookshelves will give my classroom the extra room my students need to work and allow my students to easily attain and read any books they need or want.
Being able to purchase both the bookshelves and the storage unit will allow my students to have access to the daily resources they need and should have inside the classroom.
Having the 15 drawer storage unit will allow me to store all of our STEAM supplies, so that my students can work on science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics throughout the day without me needing to run to the storage room to bring out supplies, just to have to run back and get more supplies because I don't have the storage in my classroom. My students will be able to create STEAM projects whenever they are finished with work and during our STEAM units, while I help and monitor them without needing to get more supplies in the storage room.
