I am a first-year teacher to 24 students. As a first-year teacher, my library of books is very minimal. Books provide children with an escape from reality. They help students to explore their creativity. If you donate to our classroom library, you can know that these will be used daily. Over half of my students are considers English Language Learners. Having a classroom library will help my students have a greater love for reading, and help them learn the English language. My hope in having a classroom library is providing my students with a safe place to make mistakes. We want to read and learn together.
