My students have been grossly neglected by the current state of education. They deserve support that allows them an approach that accounts for all learning styles and makes them feel like they have a purpose and reason to be doing science. I cover 5 units in my year: Matter, energy in the ecosystem, ecological relationships, Earth's resources, and the dynamic earth.
The materials chosen will allow a greater support from me to be able to give my students a more tactile and visual approach to learning that combats the lecture method of outdated education. The students of Las Vegas need the support across the board, and definitely in STEM classes.
