Flexible seating will encourage my students to not only grow as learners, but also grow in responsibility! These resources will be an earned privilege that each student will strive to keep! Currently, students have been been able to work on the floor, on flat counters, or under tables and desks. I want them to be able to look forward to having different, comfortable, and practical seats that get them moving from their seats in the classroom. Being able to choose their seat for the activity or day will encourage them to follow responsible habits, as well as encourage them to do their work! When students are comfortable and able to make their own choices, they're more motivated!
The seats I have chosen allow multiple, different options for both independent and group activities. From the desk bands to help my active, moving kids, to the beanie bag chairs for the students who wish to sit and relax, these seating choices will help each student be the best they can be! I have chosen multiple seats to pair with our reading nook. This will encourage them to pick a good book and a comfy seat during independent time!
